How MinpakuPlus collects, uses, and protects your information

MinpakuPlus is operated by ソラナリンク株式会社 (SolanaLink Inc.) ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our platform — covering short-term rentals, AI concierge, local services, real estate, and immigration support — and how we handle it in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and applicable law.

This document is a draft prepared for the platform and should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before publication.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: your name and email address when you create an account or sign in through an OAuth provider (Google or LINE); booking details such as dates, guest counts, and property selections; messages you exchange with hosts and our concierge; and images or attachments you upload. We also collect limited technical data — language and currency preferences, session identifiers, and request metadata — needed to operate the service.

Sign-In Providers

When you sign in with Google or LINE, we receive your basic profile (name, email, and profile image) under the "profile openid email" scope to create and authenticate your account. We do not receive your social-media password. You may also register with an email address directly.

Payments

Payments are processed by third-party providers — Stripe, PayPal, Alipay, and WeChat Pay. We do not store your full card number or banking credentials on our servers; these are handled directly by the payment processor under their own security standards. We retain transaction records (amount, currency, status, and a processor reference) needed to confirm bookings and issue refunds.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account, process and confirm bookings, deliver local services and airport transfers, operate the AI concierge, send transactional notifications (booking confirmations, compliance and license alerts), prevent fraud and abuse, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations under Japanese law.

Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in (session authentication), remember your language and currency preferences, and secure the platform. Essential cookies are required for the service to function; you can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings.

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to provide the service: with payment processors to complete transactions; with our OAuth providers for authentication; with licensed channel partners (such as connected booking platforms) and licensed local operators (such as green-plate airport-transfer providers) to fulfil your bookings; with our cloud storage provider (Huawei Cloud OBS) for hosting images; and with the AI provider that powers the concierge to generate responses. We do not sell your personal information.

AI Concierge

Our concierge feature sends your messages to a third-party AI service provider to generate multilingual responses. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in concierge conversations. Concierge usage is subject to per-user limits.

International Data Transfers

We operate an international platform, and your information may be processed on servers and by service providers located outside your country of residence. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps required by applicable law to protect it.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for the period required to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations — including records related to short-term rental operation under Japanese law — after which it is deleted or anonymized.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Security

We protect your information with technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/HSTS), strict content-security and framing policies, scoped access controls, and audit logging of sensitive operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond to incidents.

Children

MinpakuPlus is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals who cannot enter into a binding contract under applicable law. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice.
